Indonesia big country with population crowded in big city, made significant problem in transportation public. Perhaps either too late to counter or no plan in designing well public transport. Its noted that the component to build the infrastructure already too expensive.
The facility too costly to be built as the area to crowded and grew uncontrolled as residential area than should be a road or public area. The problem reside also in how to plan the city, mostly province or district administration don't have cooperation with central administration. That's why too late to counter the accumulation of the population.
Local administration also hardly can manage their asset, which can be used to built the facility for public transport. Either taken by business for other purpose or not knowing the purpose of public asset. It is significantly made in-efficiency and too costly to build public facility.
The affect from the expensive building public transport is people could not afford the facility and back using in-efficient other transport. The problem seem make a circle and create other in-efficiency. That's why hardly to implement a good solution for traffic in the city, already too expensive to be built.
The connection between public transport also poorly managed, people also feel too costly by using public transport. Even with subsidy system, just create another problem in-efficiency.
Everything should be plan throughly on the purpose of public transport. All component must sit on same table, create one solution and make synchronization between all executive. Still far for ideal our public transport, but better to start than too late.
