Investor may wait and see on election year 2019, but research on some favorite stocks in Indonesia Stock Exchange are on the way. Many believe consumer and retail sector are still favorite, because domestic consumption still become the motor of the economy growth. Although infrastructure and finance or banking sector are favorite too, that is because budget on infrastructure still has big pie on government spending.
Analyst believe that the new toll road on Java island may give good news to manufacture sector, especially automotive, but over all efficiency in cost of transportation may affect the whole sector. Not only industry which always complaint about high cost of production and delivery, mostly sector with human labor has a problem with the rise of minimum salary of worker.
Agriculture sector may see hard time on 2019, not because of election year, but the weather and calamity may distraught the prospect. There is so much change on climate and doesn't look good on harvesting anything. As government look on importing good to cover the minus in their foodstuff.
Property sector still favorite and always grow every year. Deregulation are still expected to do,
although some criminal or corruption investigation may hurt little bit this sector. Investor see that regulation are the source of corruption, since property business pay extra to finish the paper thing. Every year this extra cost become the barrier for the property sector to grow.
Trade sector has significant gain in last year, but not in 2019. The trade war between US-Chine look bad for the trade sector, Indonesia has to find new market, but still don't leave this stock empty on trade sector.
In the end, it is the time to collect nearly all stock. That is because cheap stock, and you may not see good price in next year, except the "whale" want cheap price. That is not going to happen, so this is the best time to buy stock, either blue chip or all are on the best price.
