Total military spending in recent years rose in double, on anticipation for any conflict ahead. It’s good in military industry, but harm in civil industry. Which on poverty over pandemic closed many businesses, sending unemployment to highest rates.
War seem unavoidable, though all leaders knows the prices of bigger war than WW2. Perhaps it’s the end of the world if any response is counter with same approach. Our offspring would see world in different shape, looms than what we imagine now.
