Indonesia election have been known the biggest in the world and expensive also. The campaign period and voter interest always all about money. There have been a precedent, no money no voter and that is somehow true.
When the election day started one by one being catch by corruption eradication commission(KPK). Mostly legislature who seek the next term and executive of the national company. Even the law are only point to the money from national budget but executive from private company also join to the course.
Perhaps like a circle of interest, money and purpose of the business can invite whoever in the power to misuse their power. That's why the number being caught also rise significantly. Look like they don't afraid to the jail term or punishment, perhaps too light or soft the law itself.
Just count how much they could earn buy stealing and only less punishment. When they get out of the jail, they can still enjoy the money. Living prosper and public can not do anything, because everything reside to the politic.
Politic will to give a heavy punishment is not popular in lawmaker or even the political party itself. Public only complaint many times but seem whoever in the power listen to it. Perhaps need good leadership to implement tough measure to vanquish corruption.
History will tell that need perhaps many decade to vanquish the corruption. History also will note who the one have the courage to vanquish the corruption.
